“Israel is pressing others to denounce the case in the hope of persuading the International Court of Justice to decide based on politics rather than the facts,” said one critic.
“In general, it’s hard to prove an intention of genocide because no public statements to that effect are made during the fighting,” said one expert. “But these irresponsible statements about erasing Gaza will require Israel to explain why they don’t reflect such an intention.”
You heard it. Media have decided that this attack was “unprovoked,” casually leaving out decades of occupation and oppression that have turned Gaza into the world’s largest concentration camp and open-air prison.
In fact, this attack was very much provoked. And the violence did not just start on October 7th.
